Canthaxanthin

Canthaxanthin, presents in birds, fish, fungi, algae and insects, is a red carotenoid and is currently widely used in the feed industry. In the poultry industry, it can be used to enhance the color of egg yolk and used for chicken skin coloring. In addition to coloring function, canthaxanthin is also an antioxidant, like vitamin C and vitamin E, can protect body cells from hazards of free radiation.
